A Colombian woman seeking an unconventional form of contraception wound up dealing with the horror of a potato growing inside of her vagina.
The misguided 22-year-old followed her mother's instructions and placed a potato in her vagina to prevent pregnancy. After two weeks, she began experiencing pain in her abdomen. She sought medical attention, and a nurse discovered that the potato had germinated, resulting in roots growing inside of the woman's vagina.
Fortunately, it was removed without surgery. However, what's truly concerning is the fact that she thought a potato could stop her from getting pregnant.
