Authorities in Louisiana say two teachers have been arrested for taking part in a threesome with one of their students.
WTVR reports that 24-year-old Rachel Respess and 32-year-old Shelley Dufresne—both English teachers at Destrehan High School—had sex with a 16-year-old boy at Respess' home following a football game on Sep. 12. WTVR adds that Respess and Dufresne and are friends, and that Respess taught the boy last year, while Dufresne is his current English teacher.
The ongoing investigation will confirm whether or not the student, a junior at the Destrehan, La. high school, photographed and filmed the encounter.
Respess turned herself in yesterday, while Dufresne—who has a husband and three kids—was taken into custody on Tuesday. Both have been charged with indecent behavior with a juvenile, carnal knowledge of a juvenile, and contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile.
UPDATE (10/3): The teachers are now both free on $7000 bond, as salacious details about the case begin to emerge.
The New York Daily News describes the encounter thus:
Destrehan High School English teacher Shelley Dufresne, 32, “enticed and transported” the student to the apartment of Rachel Respess, the other English instructor involved in the ménage à trois, according to NOLA.com.
Once they were there, Respess had sex with the teen while Dufresne “began intimately kissing (Respess) in an attempt to arouse all parties involved, all who were complete(ly) disrobed,” according to authorities.
