Listen up, Simpsons fans. You’re going to want to hear this.

Today, FXX made a huge announcement. First, they’re going to run the most epic television marathon ever, airing all 25 seasons (that’s 552 episodes) of The Simpsons, plus The Simpsons Movie after episode 400. It’s going to start on August 21 at 10 AM, run 24 hours a day, and won’t end until September 1 at midnight.

As you might expect, this will make it the longest television marathon in history.

And that’s not all. Starting in October, FXX will also be launching Simpsons World, which the network is describing as “the ultimate Simpsons digital experience featuring enriched branded content through SimpsonsWorld.com and handheld/connected devices via FXNOW.”

Once the marathon ends on September 1, the show will begin showing on FXX in all manner of timeslots, and on Sundays there will be eight episode mini-marathons from 4 PM-8 PM leading into the new episode airing on FOX.

Basically, it’s going to be all Simpsons all the time on FXX. If you're a fan of the show (especially the older seasons), this is truly a great day.
