With Dawn of the Planet of the Apes and Boyhood both hitting theaters today, it’s only natural to be concerned about having enough time to see both well-reviewed movies. Well, now you don’t have to.
One enterprising video editor has spliced together footage from both Matt Reeves’ and Richard Linklater’s films, and gives us a good enough sense of both that, if the movies were anything but really good, we might not feel compelled to go see them. There’s something about an enraged Caesar flipping out with the song Hero by Family Of The Year playing in the background that makes his rage almost seem…pleasant.
Enjoy this mashup. Then, you should probably also go see both movies in theaters.
