Like any existentially confused person would, Cheryl Strayed decided to go on a 1000 mile walkabout. She also wrote a book about it, and that memoir entitled Wild became a huge success. Director Jean-Marc Vallée has turned it into a movie, and well, it doesn’t look much like a laugher.
Reese Witherspoon stars as Strayed, and explores the great outdoors all by herself despite the fact that it looks incredibly dangerous. She even tries heroin, which probably isn’t a great idea, but hey, who are we to judge?
