Apparently, "The Walking Dead" has enough material to go on for 12 seasons. Will it?

Just call it the anti-Lost: During Sunday morning's Produced By panel, The Walking Dead executive producer David Alpert revealed that the show actually has been planned out for a handful of seasons to come—and that there's enough material to take it through season 12.

"I happen to love working from source material, specifically because we have a pretty good idea of what season 10 is gonna be," Alpert commented during the panel. "We know where season 11 and 12...we have benchmarks and milestones for those seasons if we're lucky enough to get there."

The Walking Dead is currently going into its fifth season, so a possible season 12 is still a long ways away—but, still, it's a crazy thought that the show could still be around in seven years when TV shows seem to be following the trend of ending with less seasons. However, if the plot and production are still at the caliber that TWD is currently giving us, then...well, why not? There's certainly enough to go off of in the comics to ensure things won't get boring.

Would you watch The Walking Dead, season 12? Sound off in the comments.
