While there had been some question as to whether it would happen, ABC has decided to renew Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. for a second season. It will begin this fall.

While S.H.I.E.L.D.'s ratings haven't been anything earth-shattering, they were steady enough that ABC felt it a wise choice to bring it back. Plus, with the bevy of Marvel movies being released, fan interest is constantly being stoked and opportunities for cross-promotion are seemingly endless.

Additionally, ABC has also decided to pick up Marvel’s Agent Carter. The show is based on a Captain America clip from the Iron Man 3 DVD, and will star Captain America’sHayley Atwell as the titular character, who is attempting to rebuild her life and career in 1946 after Captain America’s plane crash.

The introductory clip from the Iron Man 3 DVD can be seen here:

As if that weren’t enough Marvel for you, late in 2013 it was confirmed that Netflix would be producing four additional shows, all based on Marvel characters. These shows will center on superheroes Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Iron Fist, and Luke Cage, and will begin streaming sometime in 2015.

And if you don’t like Marvel? Well, honestly, it’s probably best if you just don’t turn on your TV or go to a movie for the next five to 10 years.
