Not many summer blockbusters have reached the level of hype that Warner Brothers’ Godzilla reboot has. With an impressive cast, a burgeoning director, and state-of-the-art special effects, this new version of the monster classic looks to atone for the sins of the 1998 version. Ironically, though, there haven’t been many clear shots of Godzilla released as of yet.
Thankfully the new TV spot above has a full-on look at the new Godzilla design. The entire spot itself is littered with new material, but it’s the closing seconds that should have fans hooked as Godzilla lets out his trademark roar. The look is rooted in the classic Toho design with some modern flourishes for the digital age.
Godzilla opens on May 16.
