A man was taken into custody last night following reports of a shooting threat inside of the Los Angeles Times building.
According to the L.A. Times, witnesses said the unidentified man was heard saying he was "depressed," "didn't mind killing someone" and "didn't want to go to jail." The man, who works for Vxi Global which rents space in the building, then reportedly showed someone a bag full of bullets.
Authorities were summoned around 7:26 p.m., and the area was placed on lockdown. The New York Post reports that this was lifted around 9 p.m. after police searched for, but could not locate a weapon.
