Streaming services have been inching their way into how we normally experience television shows for a while now. Netflix, Amazon, and Hulu all have original television programming. Now we can add PlayStation to the mix.
According to Indiewire, Sony’s PlayStation Network will produce its first original show, an an hour-long drama. The show will adapt a graphic novel by Brian Michael Bendis and Michael Avon Oeming called Powers.
Powers is about a two homicide detectives who investigates cases involving people with powers. Seems like a good fit for gamers.
Novelist and comic book writer, Charlie Huston, wrote the script for the pilot which was formerly in development with FX, who went as far as shooting a pilot in 2011.
The first season of Power will have a 10 episode order.
