At this point it’s looking like the Star Wars rumors won’t stop until opening night, but this latest one from Latino Review should get your attention. According to the site, Lupita Nyong'o (12 Years a Slave) is apparently “extremely close” to signing on for a role in Star Wars: Episode VII. The article doesn’t detail which role she is up for, but it is positive that it won’t be tied to any family from the Original Trilogy.

Adding more fuel to this report, when the site reached out to Nyong'o’s representatives, they were told, “We’re not allowed to talk about that.” You don’t sign an Oscar winner to take up space, so whatever role she is up for is going to have to be substantial. Of course, that is assuming that this report is true.

Star Wars: Episode VII will hit theaters on December 18, 2015.
