Adam McKay is one of our generation's greatest comedic minds. He was the former head writer for Saturday Night Live, directed and co-wrote of Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy, Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby, and The Other Guys—all in addition to co-founding Funny or Die. Now, McKay will soon shift gears and take a scenic view of the drama route.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, McKay has signed on to write and direct an adaptation of Michael Lewis' best-selling book The Big Short: Inside The Doomsday Machine for Paramount Pictures.
The Big Short is about the financial and housing crises that occurred last decade.
Lewis is no stranger to having his work adapted to the big screen, his nonfiction books served as the source material for The Blind Side and Moneyball.
