After attempting to Ether New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio on Twitter due to his decision to keep city schools open on Feb. 12, Al Roker and the mayor made nice on the Today Show this morning.
De Blasio came bearing gifts: a Department of Sanitation hat for Roker, which he asked the weather forecaster to wear while helping clear snow during the next round of snowfall that's due to hit the city just when everyone was getting used to warmer weather.
Roker accepted, bringing the awkward exchange to a close. "I'd love to do it," he said. "My dad was a bus driver and he used to drive a snow-clearing bus."Good to see these guys at least being adult about the situation. Let's see if Roker actually joins the Department of Sanitation for the next snow-clearing session.
