Karma—and the elements—took care of a Maryland man who slipped on ice and dropped the money he had just stolen from a bank.
According to the New York Daily News, surveillance footage showed 42-year-old Robert Williams drop the money that he was carrying in his arms as he exited a PNC Bank in Laurel, Md. Wednesday morning. The Laurel Police Department said that Williams had threatened a teller and coerced her into giving him the money despite never brandishing a weapon.
Williams fled in his vehicle, but police stopped his getaway attempt by using tire spikes. He attempted to flee on foot, but ended up slipping on ice, bringing the ridiculous ordeal to an end.
Authorities say Williams was charged with robbery and multiple traffic offenses.
