The movie world and film fans across the globe are still trying to make sense of the untimely death of Philip Seymour Hoffman, and in a recent interview on Inside the Actor’s Studio, American Hustle star Amy Adams had a genuinely moving response when asked about the late actor. You can watch the entire moment on Celebuzz, but here is just a snippet of what Adams had to say:

He's a beautiful spirit and he had this unique ability to see people, to really see them—not look through them—he just really saw people. And he will be missed. Sorry, I really... I just really loved him and I know so many people did.

Adams and Hoffman worked together over the years in movies like Doubt and The Master. Both films opened to tremendous reviews and landed Adams and Hoffman Academy Award nominations for their work. But you can tell that there was a much deeper bond there than simply the time they spent together on set. Adams' response may be hard to watch at points, but it's also heartening to see some real emotion from a celebrity for a change.
