Mocked in: Season 2, Episode 10
Watching the "Brunch Village" episode of Portlandia is painful. As you watch the line curve around the block, you're forced to engage with the fact that you too have waited hours for eggs Benedict. It's like psychoanalysis making you realize that your parents don't love you because you don't love yourself. Going to brunch is an act of unloving yourself.
They got everything right in this episode, down to the less-cool place next door that has no line, but still attracts no customers.
