Nintendo wants to remind us that it has a next-gen console too! Check out this video that features the Wii U and get reacquainted with a next-gen system that often gets looked over.

Nintendo describes the Wii U as "an entirely new technology and true successor to Wii.” To which we can agree. Nintendo has long been in a category all its own. Diverging from market and gaming trends to stay true to its original concept. You gotta respect that.

Nintendo president Satoru Iwata tried to clear up some customer confusion about the system earlier this year: "Some have the misunderstanding that Wii U is just Wii with a pad for games, and others even consider Wii U GamePad as a peripheral device connectable to Wii."
