Brooklyn Flea will have a new home next summer.

Following complaints that it takes up too much of East River State Park's parking space (which is already limited), the market is being forced to find a new location for the warmer months. Brooklyn Flea co-founder Eric Demby confirmed that it will vacate its Williamsburg post to cater to the needs of residents:

While the large majority of area residents continued to be supportive of our two-day residency, we decided that it made sense to compromise with some of the voices urging moderation in a move that we hope will secure the long-term future of Smorgasburg in the park on Saturdays.

Smorgasburg, organized by Brooklyn Flea, will remain at the park. Meanwhile, Brooklyn Flea is operating out of its winter home: 80 North 5th Street.
