If you lived in a floating city on a boat that never stopped sailing, your friends would take a vacation everytime they visited you. Freedom Ship International looks to raise $10 billion to construct "The Freedom Ship," a floating city that would be a mile long, 25 stories high and hold up to 50,000 people.
The ship would never have to dock and would also feature schools, an aquarium and an airport. Freedom Ship International director and vice president Roger M. Gooch said that the "largest vessel ever built" will be a "heavily capitalised project and the global economy in the last few years hasn't been too inviting for unproven progressive projects like [theirs]."
Gooch added that interest has grown over the past sixth months and that he's confident the project will raise the $1 billion necessary to kick its construction off. Another $9 billion and this paradise becomes a reality.
