Last week it seemed that the “exclusive” PlayStation DLC for the new Assassin’s Creed installment Black Flag was not actually an exclusive at all, but only timed for exclusivity for six months, after which case it would be presumably land on other platforms.

Now it turns out this isn’t the case, Ubisoft has confirmed to Eurogamer. The DLC, which lets players assume the role of Assassin’s Creed: Liberation protagonist Aveline de Grandpré in roughly 60 additional minutes of gameplay, is only coming to PlayStation consoles.

The clarification from Ubisoft is somewhat confusing, given that the DLC was marked with a “six-month exclusive” disclaimer in a recent PS4 sizzle reel video. It remains to be seen whether or not the Watch Dogs DLC, which had the same disclaimer, will indeed remain exclusive, although this recent news is maybe proof that Ubi is in fact only strengthening their bonds to Sony. Was the disclaimer simply an oversight? Time will tell.
