It looks like all that talk about a Murder, She Wrote reboot hasn't amused at least one person: The original star herself, Angela Lansbury. In a new interview with AP, Lansbury threw major shade at NBC's proposed reboot of the series, which is set to star The Help's Octavia Spencer in the lead role.

"I think it’s a mistake to call it Murder, She Wrote," Lansbury commented. "Murder, She Wrote will always be about a Cabot Cove and this wonderful little group of people who told those lovely stories and enjoyed a piece of that place, and also enjoyed Jessica Fletcher, who is a rare and very individual kind of person." Lansbury, of course, portrayed Jessica Fletcher in the original Murder, She Wrote series, which aired on CBS between 1984 and 1996.

As for the casting of Spencer, Lansbury was less harsh, but she still made it clear that she's not into the idea: "I saw her in The Help and thought she was absolutely wonderful, a lovely actress...so I wish her well, but I wish it wasn’t in Murder, She Wrote."

The original reports about the reboot did specify that Lansbury had been contacted to be involved in the reboot, but something tells us that won't be happening now. The OG has spoken!
