This interactive map uses MTA data to examine the New York City subway stops where subway deaths and injuries occur. The information was made accessible through the state's Freedom of Information Law, and it probes every incident involving a subway train that resulted in death or injury from 2010 to 2012.

The map reveals that the worst stations for injuries or fatalities are the ones used the most frequently. Penn Station and Atlantic Avenue Barclays Center had seven and eight incidents, while both 42nd Street Port Authority and Union Square had more than 10 incidents.

Furthermore, the stations located in Manhattan usually experience more incidents than those located in other boroughs. Still, a couple of Brooklyn stations stood out. Prospect Park's B/Q/S station had four incidents, while the Franklin Avenue – Fulton Street station had three.
