You'd think people would have learned to stop playing around with guns by now. David White, 22, of Nashville, Tenn. was arrested Sunday evening and charged with reckless endangerment after he was playing with a gun that suddenly fired, travelling through his apartment floor and hitting a woman while she slept.
Local authorities say that the bullet caused severe damage to Heather Goutremont's shoulder. She was rushed to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in serious condition, but had improved to stable as of yesterday morning.
In addition to reckless endangerment, White was charged with marijuana possession and possession of a controlled substance without perscription. There's an easy way to avoid situations like this: don't play around with guns.
