New York City has been handing out free condoms since 2007, and mayoral candidate Christine Quinn wants to keep the practice in place—but with some changes. Quinn attended the Black Pride Heritage Awards and heard complaints loud and clear: "I was at an event recently with a large number of African-American gay men, and they told me there's a very pressing issue as it relates to New York City's HIV work," Quinn said.  "They were dissatisfied with the quality of the NYC condom. So I want to tell you, we will be improving the NYC condom." Christine Quinn wants to make condoms better, how is she slipping in the polls?

Quinn genuinely respects the critiues, calling public dissatisfaction over free condoms "a serious health issue that we must address." If Quinn is elected mayor, the quality of free condoms will increase. She promises.
