Donald Glover Developing TV Series About Atlanta Music Business

It's titled Atlanta.

Donald Glover recently reduced his role in Community so he could have time to focus on other projects and, primarily, his music as Childish Gambino, but that apparently doesn't mean he's staying away from television all together. According to Vulture, Glover is currently developing a new series for FX titled Atlanta, which will focus on the music industry in Georgia's capital, where Glover actually grew up.

Glover is going to be a busy guy soon with this project added to the mix: In addition to working on his music, he'll reportedly be pulling triple duty for this one, and will write, produce, and star on the show. Deadline is calling it his followup series to Community, more or less confirming the fact that he won't be returning to the series should it get picked up for a sixth season next year. #sixseasonsandamovie won't be the same without him.

Deadline also reports that several networks were interested in the series, but Glover settled on FX because they were the most willing to work around his schedule touring as Childish Gambino.
