Before The Wonderful 101 I would have never guessed Hideki Kamiya would make a game for Platinum that looks like a cross between Vieewtiful Joe and the Thunderbirds, but that’s pretty much exactly the case here. Apparently the so-named group of heroes are similar to an organization of superhero agents, kind of like the Avengers. Only here they can band together to form ridiculously sized objects like fists and guns to beat the living tar out of the baddies. (This is a Platinum game, after all.)

Yeah, it still looks weird (especially the aesthetic) but now at least it might make a little more sense, even the on-screen action doesn’t.
