Ripping a page from Kanye West's "George Bush does not care about black people" book, 9-year-old Asean Johnson took control of the podium yesterday to address potential school closures in Chicago. With the commanding cadence of a grown man, Johnson fired fellow protesters up like a child preacher, vehemently denouncingMayor Rahm Emanuel's plan to close 54 public schools including Johnson's own Garvey Elementary School.
It's frightening how much Johnson sounds like a mini-Kanye, all the way down to his "Rahm Emanuel is not caring about our schools" statement. This kid has a future in motivational speaking and possibly politics.
