New Orleans Police Arrest Suspect in Mother's Day Parade Shooting

Surveillance footage released Monday aided them in the arrest.

Last night, New Orelans police arrested a suspect in the Mother's Day Parade shooting that injured 19 people. According to NOPD spokeswoman Remi Braden, 19-year-old Akien Scott was arrested in the eastern part of the city, offering very few details. On Monday, surveillance footage showing the shooting was released, which police say they used to identify Scott.

Scott, who was out on bail for weapon and drugs charges when the shooting occurred, will face twenty charges for attempted murder.
