In an incredible discovery about three blocks from where the 9/11 Memorial now stands, the landing gear of one of the two planes that crashed into the World Trade Center was found stuck between two buildings, in a space only 18-inches wide.
Surveyors found the part, which had "Boeing" written clearly on its side, when they went to routinely inspect one of the buildings this week. The location has been locked down since the discovery, and police around the area are treating it as a crime scene.
“The odds of it entering that space at exactly that angle that would permit it to squeeze in there,” said NYPD spokesman, Paul Browne, “it had to come in at almost precisely the right angle.”
It's amazing this was found so long after the events, and so far from where the towers used to stand.
