Craigslist Quietly Rolls Out New Listing Feature

Presenting "Grid View."

Craigslist isn't exactly known for its site design, but the utility of the service tends to outweigh its bare bones look.

Now the site has rolled out a new visual listing feature called Grid View, which appears as an option in "search results" pages, and is every bit as useful as you'd imagine.

Rather than click separate listings to view their photo, you can see them all on one page, as if they're spread out on a virtual grid. It's especially useful for apartment hunts where hyperbole reigns supreme and it's hard to tell if the "$1,000/month steal" is really a bargain.

Craigslist quietly rolled out the feature over a week ago, but the update wasn't widely reported until this Sunday, when Tech Crunch picked up on the story via a posting on Quora.
