Most celebrities would love to have an Hermès bag named after them—isn't that the ultimate mark of a fashion it girl? Not for supermodel Claudia Schiffer.

The GUESS model recently revealed to the spring/summer edition of ELLE Collections that Hermès wanted to create a handbag for her, à la Grace Kelly and Jane Birkin (which go for tens of thousands of dollars), but she turned them down on the advice of her agent.

We guess it didn't hurt her career or anything, but still! The magazine asked models what advice they would give to their 17-year-old selves. The other girls were more vague; Naomi Campbell said "Always trust your instincts" and Helena Christensen said "Feel with your heart and think with your brain." Yawn! Luckily Schiffer kept it real.

"In five years time Hermès will ask if they can name a bag after you, as they have Kelly and Birkin. Ignore your agent and say 'Yes.'" she said. Welp, hindsight is 20/20.
