President Obama was just on Twitter answering questions from ordinary tweeple on the so-called "Fiscal Cliff," aka the simultaneous tax hike and drastic spending cuts that will automatically go into effect next year unless congress gets its act together and cuts a deal.
B.O. didn't veer too far from his usual talking points re: raising tax rates on the wealthy while giving a break to the middle class, but he did show off some formidable abbreviation skills ("breaks for middle class impt for families & econ.") and find time to compliment one "recent college grad" on her purple hair.
And in case there was any doubt that the Commander-in-Chief really sat down to send these tweets himself, the White House provided the helpful Instagram above of the president's hands typing on a keyboard. He's just like us!
