The The Walking Dead video game—no, not the 2012 game of the year, but the upcoming Activision shooterThe Walking Dead: Survival Instinct—has finally been revealed in a lengthy episode of Up At Noon.

The developers have coined the term "survival FPS" for their new take on The Walking Dead, which stars fan favorite characters Daryl and Merle. Players fill the shoes of Daryl, who has to deal with his asshole brother while navigating the zombie-filled world of The Walking Dead.

From everything that's said and shown in the video, it seems The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct will be a unique take on the property. We're getting a major ZombiU vibe, as well, which is definitely a good sign as far as we're concerned.

Another unique feature has you sending out other survivors on missions to scout or gather supplies—you'll meet these people along the way, and you can give them supplies to increase their chances of survival. But there's always a risk, since there's no guarantee that they'll make it back.
