The woman who pissed several people off when she was photographed flipping the bird at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Arlington National Cemetery has been fired from her job. Once the photo was uploaded to Facebook, people began calling for 30-year-old Lindsey Stone's head on a stick. One user even started a Facebook group called "Fire Lindsey Stone," which has received over 19,000 likes this week.

Stone was on a trip with her job, Living Independently Forever (LIFE) last month when she posed for the picture next to a sign that called for "Silence and Respect." 38-year-old Jamie Schuh, who took the photograph, was also terminated. Both Stone and Schuh had been placed on unpaid leave immediately after the incident, and there's no doubt that pressure to fire them began to pile up once the story made headlines.

LIFE issued a statement saying "We wish to announce that the two employees recently involved in the Arlington Cemetery incident are no longer employees of LIFE." "Again, we deeply regret any disrespect to members of the military and their families," the organization added.

Other than the obvious lesson about respect, this scenario reaffirms that your Facebook photos will get you canned.
