Over the past day or two Twitter has been flooded with a wave of tweets from people who spent their hard-earned money to go see a movie which The New York Times' Manohla Dargis said suffered from "bargain-bin special effects, bad acting and politics." We're talking about Red Dawn, the remake of the 1984 film of the same name that had the U.S. being invaded by the Soviet Union. This time around, however, it's North Korea who is invading, and Chris Hemsworth (you know him as Thor) rounds up a group of friends to defend the nation. If it sounds like trumped up propaganda, you wouldn't be too far off. Remember those tweets I mentioned earlier? Yeah, most of them were from people saying how much they either hated, feared, or wanted nothing to do with Asian people as a result of watching the Dan Bradley movie. This is what happens when dumb people and bad movies collide.
