Fifteen-year police force veteran David Horn was arrested at his home in Hooks, TX after allegedly stabbing his wife with syringes filled with an animal tranquilizer. Sheriff's deputies in Bowie County arrived at Sgt. Horn's home after reports of a stabbing, and reportedly found a woman lying in a pool of blood. Witnesses say Horn stabbed his wife with the tranquilizer-loaded syringes while pointing a gun at her head, then threatened a man with a gun and pushed a woman.
Horn's wife was taken to the intensive care unit of a local hospital, where she's in serious condition. Horn has been charged with aggravated assault and is being held on $600,000 bail. He's also been placed on administrative leave from the police force. We doubt he'll be invited back.
