Known In The '70s For: Being a sports announcer of The NFL Today
Jayne Kennedy kicked off the decade with a historic win in the Miss Ohio USA beauty pageant (she was the first black contestant to win the coveted title). By the mid-'70s, Kennedy had moved to California to pursue an acting career. She didn't have much luck in the way of becoming an uber-famous movie actress, but she did manage to break into the world of sports announcing (Erin Andrews who?) on The NFL Today. From there, Jayne Kennedy went on to become the first black actress to grace the cover of Playboy in 1981.
