Wreck-It Ralph is for all those video game junkies who tend to root for the bad guys. Instead of Mario and Luigi, they want King Koopa to walk away with Princess Peach. His very own Ms. Peach is exactly what the title characters wants in Disney's Wreck-It Ralph, the company's latest animated 3D tentpole that's aiming right at the hearts of grown-ups who once subscribed to GamePro and kids who prefer Xbox to fresh air.
John C. Reilly voices the eponymous Wreck-It Ralph, the behemoth central villain in a popular arcade game called Fix-It Felix Jr., who dreams of being the good guy. After 30 years' worth of repeating his villainous actions, Ralph steps out of the game and starts jumping into various other titles to oust each one's primary hero. It's a premise worth caring about, especially with the reports that Wreck-It Ralph will include several visual references to classic video games. Expect to feel compelled to dig up that old Nintendo Entertainment System and start blowing into its opening (pause) to make it work.
