Sony and DirecTV have announced that the NFL Sunday Ticket will be returning to PS3 for the upcoming NFL season—and just in time, too.
The app gives Sunday Ticket subscribers HD live-streams of each game, plus access to DirecTV's Red Zone channel with game highlights and scoring plays, video highlights direct on the PS3, score and game status updates, detailed game and player stats, up-to-date standings, and the full season schedule.
Alternately, if you're not a DIrecTV subscriber, you can get the NFL Sunday Ticket PS3 app as a standalone purchase of $299 ($40 cheaper than last year). Current DirecTV subscribers with Sunday Ticket MAX can download the PS3 app for free.
The app launched yesterday, though the video above shows a walkthrough of last year's version. The NFL season kicks off Sept. 9—will you be ready with the PS3 app?
