First appearance: Firestorm, the Nuclear Man #1 (1978)
Firestorm has perhaps the strangest powers and gimmick of any character on this list; because of that, we can’t see him translating well to film.
Instead of being just one person with a set of super powers, Firestorm is actually two beings combined together to form one hero. He's one part Ronnie Raymond, a normal high school student, but he also has the spirit and voice of Nobel Prize-winning physicist Martin Stein in his head at all times.
Admittedly, Firestorm’s powers are rather unique. He has the ability to take the subatomic structure of matter and transform it into any other object of equal mass. For example he can take lead and turn it into gold, just as long as it equals the same mass. It’s just a shame that he can’t take his multiple personalities and transform them into something more interesting.
