This is it. We've had enough of Assassin's Creed sequels that iterate instead of innovating, and Ubisoft knows it. They know that we're hungering for something different. And with Assassin's Creed 3, they're delivering.

The setting has leapt ahead a few centuries and to a brand new continent, and new Assassin Ratonhnhaké:ton (also known as Connor) has taken over as the protagonist. He'll play both sides in the American Revolution, all in the name of stopping the Templars.

We got to sit down with the game for several hours in Boston last week, and we came away impressed. We explored Connor's homestead and the city of Boston, participated in the historical Boston Tea Party, and took to the high seas for a nautical assault. We'll have a full review for you when the time is right, but in the meantime, here's 10 things we just learned from playing Assassin's Creed 3.
