We all know how Joss Whedon's The Avengers began, so it's pretty hard to imagine the film having any other opening scene - but apparently, it almost did. Amongst all the extras packed into the Blu-Ray release of the film, due out on September 25th, there's a clip for an alternate opening to the blockbuster which pulled in $1 billion in the box office this past summer.
In the opening, a trailer of which you can check out above thanks to Yahoo!, we see Cobie Smulders' Agent Maria Hill answering questions in an interrogation room 48 hours after the tesseract event, and noting that Samuel L. Jackson's Nick Fury is "reckless," amongst other things.
Would you have liked to see this as the opening scene, or is the film perfect as is? Sound off in the comments.
