More bad news for Lauryn Hill. In addition to the $1.8 million in taxes she owes the federal government, Hill is now also on the hook for $440,000 she owes the State of New Jersey. This, according a civil judgment entered against her back in June, which left her total bill at $446,386 in unpaid state taxes. Hill pled guilty to federal tax evasion charges in late June and is facing 3 years in prison. She'll be sentenced in that case in November. By then, the evasion of state taxes could also be an issue for her as well.
