In an article featured in the Detroit Free Press, DC Entertainment has confirmed the speculation that it would be introducing a new Arab-American Green Lantern into its roster of characters in next month’s Green Lantern #0. This mysterious Lantern will be named Baz and will play a big role in the company’s upcoming “Third Army” storyline by writer Geoff Johns.
There is no word yet on whether or not Baz will be taking over Hal Jordan's spot in the ongoing Green Lantern comic book, but with the diverse direction that the company is seemingly going in, don’t expect the character to disappear any time soon.
Green Lantern #0 will hit stores on September 5.
