Disguised as a nurse in scrubs, 48-year-old Grisel Ramirez was arrested yesterday at Garden Grove Medical Center in Southern California hospital while trying to steal a newborn girl in a tote bag. According to authorities, Ramirez entered the room of the child's mother and asked her to shower before doctors examined her. She used this time to place the baby in the bag and slip out of the room.
What Ramirez didn't know is that she set off an alarm when crossing an invisible line. Her motive for stealing the baby is still unknown, but the child was unharmed and is back in the care of her mother.
