There is nothing fun or exciting about visiting an cemetery, but one German woman got a horrible surprise when she stopped by her mother's grave. Three weeks after burying her mother, 48-year-old Claudia Schmittnoticed something atop her mom's grave: a maggot and worm-filled skull.

Bending down to check the flowers, Schmitt first thought it was a coconut, but then she saw a jawbone "complete with human teeth." It seems as though the cemetery forgot to bury something crucial; both Schmitt and her brother, Harald, believe the skull is their mother's.

The siblings complained to cemetery officials, who immediately began apologizing all over themselves. They plan to bury the additional remains in a separate funeral, which is both insulting and ridiculous. Schmitt planned on bringing her 82-year-old father along with her, but thankfully he stayed home due to rain. It might've killed the man.
