A Mexican woman is in police custody today after she reportedly gouged her own son's eyes out during a cult ceremony. Yeah, worst parent ever doesn't even begin to cover it.
The mother was arrested along with a few others in the Mexico City suburb of Ciudad Neza. They are said to have been participating in a "drug-fueled ritual" that resulted in the tragic ending, and the mother allegedly forcibly removed her son's eyes because he "refused to keep them shut." According to a police spokesman, the boy is in serious condition.
The group is thought to be unrelated to the rapidly expanding cult of Santa Muerte, but that doesn't really matter because they seem just as crazy as those guys anyway.
