Google+ just rolled out an all new iPhone app, replacing the old bare-bones version that had failed to gain traction.
The new version of the Google+ app introduces a new interface that's more visually appealing and easier to use. There are new crisp, hi-res fonts and images appear much larger on the screen. The app's "Stream" section, which compiles popular posts from around Google+ has also been made speedier and more responsive.
We always found the old Google+ app to be inert and staid looking, so the redesign is a welcome change. The Google+ website was also re-designed recently, so chalk this up as another example of Google searching for the social network sweet spot.
