Video: Check Out The First Clip From Ridley Scott’s “Prometheus”

We’ve had a lot of fun drooling over the various Prometheus trailers that have been released over the last few months, but now we finally have the first full clip from the movie to ogle at. Featuring Idris Elba and Logan Marshall-Green, this bit of footage simply shows off the Prometheus landing on an alien planet, but it gives us the sense of scope and scale that director Ridley Scott is going for here.

This type of sci-fi/futuristic imagery is one of the reasons why Prometheus is our most anticipated movie of the summer. Remember, Scott is the man that helped revolutionize the sci-fi genre with Alien and Blade Runner in the '70s and '80s, and this short piece of footage again proves that the man is still a top-tier director when he has the right script and freedom to do what he wants.

Prometheus will hit theaters on June 8.
