When Community introduced their Doctor Who parody series, Inspector Spacetime, in an episode earlier this season, people on the Internet went pretty wild. The clip wasn't long, but the mere reference to the UK's crazy popular sci-fi series was enough to make it one of the series' more popular jokes. And, apparently, enough to make it merit a web series.
That's right - according to io9, Travis Richey, who portrayed the Doctor Inspector in the series will be producing the web series, of which there will be six episodes. NBC, Community creator Dan Harmon, and Sony have nothing to do with the project, and Richey says he's starting a Kickstart campaign for an equipment budget.
